Insurance & reimbursement
As a federally recognised Specialist Psychologist for Psychotherapy with cantonal licences (Zurich, Basel-Stadt, Baselland, Graubünden, Lucerne), reimbursement via a supplementary health insurance is often possible, provided you hold one. Military and accident insurance should also allow reimbursement, as should psychotherapy paid by the IV (disability insurance) for children and adolescents in training.
Important: some supplementary insurances require a medical prescription for psychotherapy at the outset. This is not the same as the "assignment for psychotherapy under basic insurance". If anything is unclear, we are glad to clarify it together.
Why no basic insurance
I deliberately do not bill through basic insurance (OKP). The private path secures discretion, free choice of therapist and depth without a timed grid — and no diagnosis in a chain of assignment. I set out the detailed reasons in the FAQ.
Room when finances are tight
There is a small contingent for young competitive athletes — just ask; sponsors are welcome.
If you have no supplementary insurance and are very tightly bound financially, it is worth looking for psychological psychotherapists who still bill through basic insurance. Despite many full schedules, you should be able to find someone.
